Yavarum Nalam is the Madhavan, Neetu Chandra starrer bilingual which is directed by Vikram Kumar of Alai fame. The thriller story starts with Madhavan family moving into a 13 storey apartment with the door no 13 -B. After some time things started happening which make every member of the family uneasy. Added to this, a TV serial with the title ‘Yavarum Nalam’ is shown. The strange thing is that whatever happens in that serial also happens in real life of the family members.

After a long gap, Makkal Nayagan Ramarajan is to act in a Medhai film produced by Kalaimagal Kalaikoodam. Medhai marks the return of Ramarajan to Kollywood after a long gap. The Medhai film is directed by Saravanan. Mumbai’s Kowshika is the heroine in the Medhai film. The shooting of the film is on at Madurai. Medhai movie cast include Ajay, Haasini, Alex, Natraj, Vadivelu, Kovai Krishnan, Charlie, Rajalakshmi, Sanjay, Aryan, Mahadevan and ‘Kottai’ Kumar. Dhina scores the music of Medhai. R.H. Ashok will be the cinematographer of the film.

Pokkisham On Location

Pokkisham is in the last leg of its shooting. Cheran is paired with Padmapriya in this movie. The ’stills’ of the film have been designed to be in the form of a postage stamp. The reason for Cheran’s decision to design the stills in ’stamp’ form is due to the fact that stamps are an important bearer of forgotten memories. Cheran recalls that for his film ‘Porkalam’ too, which released almost a decade ago, he had used the same format for the stills.

Padmapriya and Cheran struck accord with the middle class audience in Thavamai Thavamirunthu. Now the lead pair of this movie, Cheran and Padmapriya are back to weave their magic once again with the audience. Pokkisham will be produced by Nemichand Jhabak and V Hitesh Jhabak.

Upcoming movie SARITHIRAM is about the ancient martial arts like Silambattam and sword fight and a family’s tradition for it. After Uyir and Mirugam Saami is directing a film with Raj kiran and Aadhi called Sarithiram. Sarithiram is a film about the life history of traditional game Silambam followers in southern parts of Tamil Nadu. IDI Films, the producer of ‘Rameswaram is producing this Sarithiram film. Mirugam fame Aadhi and Rajkiran in the lead. The heroine is played by a fresh face Sridevika, who debuted in the Kannada flick, My Autograph. Her effervescence has lent a feminine touch to the traditional masculine atmosphere of the movie. Kalabhavan Mani and Shanmugarajan appear in the roles of the Rajikiran’s students.
